‍ ‍ Each year Bournemouth in Bloom invites the schools in the BCP area to enter the Schools’ Gardening Competition and many participate. Schools are invited to attend the Presentation Ceremony which is held at Kinson Community Centre. Certificates and blue plaques are presented by a special VIP guest.

Children prepare their gardens or pots with many colourful displays being proudly displayed for our judges to admire when visiting.  It is always very apparent how excited the children are with their achievements and this has proved to be a great way to introduce gardening to the young, not only to produce beautiful gardens but for their mental wellbeing.
