"Beyond the garden gate - National Garden Scheme" which tells the story of the National Garden Scheme, its history, the gardens which open for us as well as the charities it supports. As Assistant County Organiser for Dorset, Phil explains the process for choosing suitable gardens and how we work with garden owners in supporting them, through marketing and publicity to raise these much-needed funds for our various nursing and healthcare charities.
bio:
Phil began volunteering for the National Garden Scheme in 2021 supporting garden owners in the Bournemouth and Poole area. A couple years ago, he began running Garden Tours for groups at the Russell-Cotes Museum, which has raised the profile of the Museum and generated funds in the process. He is keen to recruit new gardens in the local area to support the charity.
